We don't cut corners, we Clean them!

Carpet Fibers:

  • Acrylic:  Promoted as "the synthetic substitute for wool: Acrylic looks like wool but is highly stain resistant. Drawbacks are twofold: First, nap-reversal causes traffic areas to stand out vividly. Second due to non-resiliency, furniture on acrylic creates permanent impressions.
  • Olefin: (polypropylene, etc.)--resist staining, usually solution dyed, lipophilic (oil-loving-doesn't like water).
  • Nylon: Wears better than any fiber, including wool, cleans well, bounces back even after being crushed, really holds its original appearance for quite some time.

Umbrella of Protection: Scotchguard:

Three reasons to apply stain protector

  1. SPILLS HAPPEN! With stain protector they wipe/blot right up while reducing the probability of permanent stain damage.
  2. DIRT STICKS! Grit, soil & Grime stick to your unprotected carpet & upholstery causing premature wear.
  3. YOU PROLONG CARPET LIFE! Applying carpet protector after proper maintenance cleaning prolongs the life of your investment--your carpeting.

(NOTE: Carpet protectors are resistant to cleaning agents, therefore will not be removed by cleaning. Protectants are removed merely by wearing off with daily traffic wear and abrading by soils.)

Is it a spot or stain?

  • Spots are foreign particles or soil that can be treated and removed.
  • Stains are synonymous with damage. Stains are when the dye has been permanently altered.
  • Damage is when the carpet has physical damage: color has been taken away by chemical alterations.

FACT: Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional cleaning twelve-eighteen months from date of installation depending upon the number of residents (pets included) and amount of activity.
